SAND OASIS PRODUCTIONS

There are fewer matters of greater importance to me, than the enormous potential of “Sand Oasis Productions. “I do not know of anything that offers more hope for “The Dignified Survival of the Earth and Humankind,” than the planned and envisioned results of Sand Oasis Productions, one of the most creative projects and programs ever presented to a confused and perplexed humanity. It is my strongest belief that Sand Oasis Productions can help significantly transform the world from its constant conditions of war, fear, division, conflict and hate, into their very opposites.” I even perceive how Sand Oasis Productions & The Jerry Bell Soul Music Revue as a “Catalyst for Universal Peace,” could over time have an even greater impact uniting humanity, than the Olympic Games!

It is a well-known fact that “Music Moves the World,” and having the power to touch so many hearts and souls, and attract such great crowds. Music can help move humanity toward a more “Peaceful, Enlightened and Cooperative Future. Within Oasis Productions we also offer the greatest in Motion Picture and Television Production, Music Production, Concerts, Special Protection Services, Public Relations, Media Services, Animation Production, Fashion Design, Real Estate Management, Ai Technology, Nutritional / Herbal Medicine Consulting, Architecture Design and Planning.

Sand Oasis Productions intends to “Celebrate Humanity” through a series of concerts, festivals, tours and global broadcasts, emphasizing “The Universal Ambassadorships of Music”, with people all over the world. With this objective in mind, I invite you, the Music Artists of the World, the business owners, corporations, world leaders to help us get the message out to humanity and to start manifesting “Friendship, Love, Compassion and Altruism,” on a truly global scale. When it comes to “Peace on Earth,” and Global Problem Solving, let us never underestimate “The Magic and the Power of Music!” The original sounds of clean Soul, Funk, Neo-Soul, Jazz, Pop, New Age and down right good old music.

I also strongly believe in the ancient Proverb that states... “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” I am immensely grateful for the vision and mission of Sand Oasis Productions and The Jerry Bell Soul Music Revue Concert series as “Light Years” ahead of a generation of leaders that presently are grossly mismanaging the affairs of the world. Economic, Environmental, Religious and Societal Systems are collapsing. If humanity is to fashion a future worth having, then those of us who can, and who dare, step up to provide the example of the change that is so critically needed in our world today. As the “Well Being of Humanity and Earth is At Risk,” it is imperative that the sand Oasis Productions and The Jerry Bell Soul Music Revue present its vision for the persavion and betterment Based on Earth Ethics, Mutual Respect, and Universal Peace through people and music! This is the future! Music is the healing force of the world understood by every man, woman, boy, and girl.

History

The history of the group began with the instrumental outfit, The Nite-Liters, which was originally formed in 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky by Tony Churchill and Harvey Fuqua. In its heyday, besides Churchill on tenor sax and vibes, the band featured Charlie Hearndon on guitar, James Baker on keyboards, Robin Russell on drums, Robert "Lurch" Jackson on trumpet, Austin Lander on baritone sax, Leroy Taylor on bass, and, later, Carl McDaniel on guitar. Earlier members included Johnny Graham, later of Earth, Wind & Fire and Jerry Bell lead and background vocals. Some sources identify The Nite-Liters as the band that played as "The Crawlers" with Chicago artist Alvin Cash on his R&B No. 1 1964 hit, "Twine Time".

The Nite-Liters had a few hits before the formation of New Birth proper, including "K-Jee" (No. 17 R&B & No. 39 Pop), in 1971. In 1969, Vernon Bullock had thought of creating an ensemble of groups for a touring company and Harvey Fuqua and Tony Churchill soon took an interest. After discovering a male vocal group, The Now Sound, which featured Bobby Downs, Ron Coleman, Gary Young (deceased 2018) and George "Slim" House and also a female vocal group, known as Mint Julep, which featured Londee Loren, Tanita Gaines, Janice Carter and Pam Swent, they brought them together with The Nite-Liters plus additional vocalist, Alan Frye, calling the newly formed ensemble, New Birth. The band came together in 1970 with their self-titled debut on RCA. Their second album, Ain't No Big Thing, But It's Growing, yielded a minor hit with their cover of Perry Como's "It's Impossible", in 1971.

Later that year, Bullock discovered a group from Detroit, Michigan called Love, Peace & Happiness, which featured former Marvelettes singer Ann Bogan and brothers Leslie and Melvin Wilson. Finding that they had the spark that was missing from the New Birth ensemble, he paired them with the Nite-Liters and members of New Birth, Londee Loren, Jerry Bell, Bobby Downs and Alan Frye.
